Well...after years of trying to get the corrosion repaired locally, I drove from Vero Beach, FL up to the AS factory in Ohio. They were really nice, had us in and out in two days...repaired the corrosion (yes, I paid for the labor and for some of the parts...AS did comp a few items...very nice of them). It was worth it.

The guys at the AS factory told me to wash frequently, wax every 6 months. Hopefully that will stop any further corrosion. Do you live in Palm Beach?

Hello! Well, I live 60 miles north or Palm Beach and believe it or not, I drove my Airstream to Ohio to the factory and they repaired the damage. I paid the labor on it. Yes, I know this is probably NOT the anwer you want to hear...but I felt it was the right thing to do. EVERYBODY at Airstream was VERY nice and competent, and I am glad I did it. It was 1100 miles, though--one way.--Just got back a week ago....
