The sun comes up and the sun goes down, daily. There's no fanfare, no interruption and no drama. This simple, beautiful and regular occurrence sets the pace for daily living. Rise, stretch, set off on the days activities and then as the light wanes, slowly sink into quiet warmth under a down comforter. Perfect, peaceful and calm.
On those days (you know them and we all have) days packed with chaos, noise, many demands and never enough time; those days that are generally unsatisfying...

Of all the amazing comforts of my little trailer, the oven is clearly the star. Its warm heart inspires me to BAKE!
There is nothing so fine as the smell of yeast dough rising. It perfumes the air with heady promises of gastronomic ecstasy and the simple act of mixing flour, yeast and water into dough soothes my soul. Perhaps the best reason to crank up the oven and pull forth aromatic bread is what happens as the bread cools - you'll need to share.

Why does the coffee taste best when sitting on the top step of my Airstream?
Maybe the care taken to make it in the absence of a coffee maker or the fresh open air makes a difference. I'm not really certain, but the simple act of sitting on the top step of my trailer, feet on the dirt, looking squinty eyed at the morning makes the steaming coffee in my cup seem like a magical elixer to be inhaled, gazed into and enjoyed fully.

Sometimes people just surprise you. She looked ordinary; aging bottle-blonde, little white dog, big purse and a big honkin’ car.
Ordinary enough that is, until I saw her wheel into a tiny county park, towing a 61' Bambi, do a three point turn and back that Bambi into a blind opening between to very hard trees. No hesitation, no fuss, no adjustments. Perfect the first time.
Kathy I learned, was anything but ordinary. She invited me into her Bambi and talked a blue streak...

Parking an aging Airstream next to a gleaming new behemouth can be a daunting, sometimes humbling experience.
Generally a proud Airstream owner, I have to admit that every now and then it's tempting to feel like a poor second cousin parked in the shade of one of these rolling palaces.
I pulled in to a rest area recently with trailer in tow. I'd been traveling for several days and the road grime on the front of the trailer was appearant. After a stretch and wander through...
