I am not familier with the Chevy welded hitch. I have read several disparaging remarks here on the forums about welded on Chevy hitches cracking. It seems like Robert Cross from NY is a Chevy guy and has commented on the hitch cracking.I myself would look at,A, can a regular bolt on Class V hitch be installed,or B, can a local welder reinforce the factory hitch. I sould think it would be fairly straight forward to reinforce the existing hitch. Either way I would beef it up. Quite likely the factory hitch would be adiquate, but....... Adios, John

Was it you that said something about the Keg in Lafayette? I would love to have a nickle for every hour I spent in the Strip area, I sure wouldn't be on this rig right now.

My parents had a '70 Overlander. Neat trailer. They loved it and spent several winters in Texas, AZ, etc.
