Dave, I just got back from California trip yesterday. Made it to San Diego and Chula Vista. Did not go to Quartsite. Heard it was too hot and everyone had left. Besides, I had to get back and close the deal on my new (1948) Airstream Wee Wind. It's sitting in my driveway now.
Dave, You left Fiesta park so early, Nelda and I didn't have a chance to say goodbye. Well, goodbye. That having been said, it was great seeing you again. Tell Melvene hello and her vibrant personality was missed. She must come to another rally. Insofar as the economy and the price of fuel, my plan is to continue to run around the country in my Airstream but to be much more conservative. At $85 per nite or $340 (cheap group rate that Ken did a good job of getting for us), it is most probable I will not go to balloon fiesta next year. I can stretch that money with my golden passport to many national parks. Or who knows, I may go to Florida and park on that beautiful lawn with your motor home. If you come back via I-20, you are welcome to stay in my driveway. And, if it's hunting season, I'll take you to my lease. I am replacing all beef with venison...another conservation step. Regards, Diane PS. Did I tell you I discovered when two women travel together, a two bath airstream would be a great aminity.
Dave we wished for you today. You missed the best of the balloon rally. It all was in our front yard today. Everyone running around to help the balloon and fold them up. Then they took of again for us. We left at 9:30 and they were still taking off. Lou and Bob
