We made the short drive up from Sangchris Lake, IL and arrived home in the afternoon.
The house was as we left it... projects everywhere...

We left Roaring River and drove North on I-71 to Independence, MO... a little over 200 miles. We stayed at my friend Jim's house, in a fully-furnished downstairs apartment. I have known Jim most of my life... since early grade school......

We pulled out of the Winging Stair Mountains and headed North on Hwy 59, then East on 271 into Arkansas, then North on 540 up in Missouri. It was about 160 miles.
I wanted to stop and camp in Arkansas... just to say we did......

We pulled out of Ragtown and headed North via various small roads, up into Oklahoma, driving another fairly long day of nearly 300 miles. We found a nice camp in the Winding Stair Mountains of the Ouchita National Forest....
