    Overlander64,

i like the restoration project you did on your overlander. Where did you get the bathtub replacements at? I just bought a 69 overlander and i am trying to get ideas on how to spuce it up a bit. Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Thank you for taking a look at the argosy, do you think wth bad axles they price is reasonable?
Any issues with the center bath that your aware of? i see a lot of the issues with the black tanks in the argosys come from the tank sitting on the floor causing rot.

    overlander64,
I have been reading a lot of your threads and am learning so much.
If you have moment, check out this argosy, Im trying to put enough time to gather to look at it. It is the one that has been sitting for 4 years.

Also, Im having a hard time deciding what to spend my money on, an over lander or an argosy with the rear bedroom. All comments welcome, thanks for your time.

Hey Kevin, you were kind enough to give me advice when I bought my Overlander. I am now buying my dream, a 1963 Bambi, so I can actually take it out and use it. I have never taken my Overlander out because it was bigger than I felt comfortable towing with. The Bambi is being delivered today. There are a couple of issues, which I am hoping to get resolved immediately. There is no a/c. I looked at a low profile Carrier a/c-heatpump. I don't know if that is better than a regular a/c with heat strips. Also, it has no water heater, so I plan to get a tankless model. If you don't mind, will you answer a couple of questions? I want to make my unit all electric. It will have a small electric fridge. I am going to use an ice chest to keep things cool while I am in transit, but will plug in at my destination. I am going to put in an electric 2 burner cooktop, and perhaps a microwave oven. With the a/c, and all the other appliances I plan, will the unit be able to have added additional breakers added or will I have to do a total rewire? Also, can I remove the fresh water tank completely since I will only be using hookups for water? Can I bypass the black tank and directly connect the sewage output line to the campsite sewage connection? Thanks for your thoughts.

    Hi Kevin,
My name is Bob Hupp, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I just purchased a 1968 overlander international and someone has really botched up the wiring. The uni-volt system is in place, all of the power outlets work fine, the lights on the other hand, do not work at all. there is no battery an there are so many loose wires in the boot that I do not know which ones belong to the battery. would you happen to know of a wiring schematic for the overlander.
    Thanks, Bob

    Kevin,
Dallas Peak referred me to you for information about Free Wheelers. I'm a new member of WBCCI and VAC. Just bought my first Airstream, a 68 Caravel and he told me you were the guy to contact about the singles club.

Does one join, or just get together at the rallies or caravans? It seems that the vast majority of Airstreamers are couples, many of them retired. I'm not there (in either category) but I'm really enjoying getting to know the Airstreamers I've met so far. What a great group of people, all connected by those awesome homes on wheels.

Please fill me in on Free Wheelers and 'hi" from Dallas. He's headed to Bozeman on Sunday and I'll be right behind him if I can get the Caravel pulled together in time. I'm doing a lot of my own work, and there are only so many hours in the day. I spend a lot of time on airforums, but what a fantastic resource!

Say, do you know anything about a caravan to Bozeman from the Midwest?

    Thanks for any advice,
    Carol B # 7982
