Does your window open with those 40LB Propane tanks? I'm thinking of getting some. Thank you.

Hi maybe you could help me with some awning questions.Looking at your post, you have the same awnings as we do, what I call vintage zip dees. There are no awning bars or arms. You simply pull on the awning strape and extend the awning, then hook the strape on a hook on the side of the trailer. I do not know exactly how these awnings work. they pull down and hook OK, and they retract OK, however they barely have any spring recoil, and so what holds them from unrolling when you are traveling down the road. There must be springs that are either shot of need retensioning, and I need some help understanding how these work. Also need to purchase some hooks that attach to the trailer, that you hook the strape to.Thanks for the help.

Kevin, I sure could use your help. I dont know how to operate my 69 safari water system. It has 2 front valves by the tanks, and several valves in the trunk. With the front two shut off, I dont get water from the pump to the faucets or toilet. I dont know what to turn in the rear trunk, and am afraid to hook city water to it until i know how it works. I did hook up city water one time a few months ago, and thank God my water cap was loose. I kept hearing the sound of running water, and when I walked to the front, I had a geyser coming from the fill hole. my tank was bulging inside the trailer, but did not explode. please let me know what to do. thanks, Richard in Texas ...4 airstreams

    Kevin,
We emailed ages ago when we first bought our 78 Argosy. We sold it in February and now have a 66 Overlander. I was looking at your post on the shower curtain. Our folding door was also messed up (we've still got it in case someone wants the hardware), and I was thinking about a track and curtain. Where did you get your track? I saw some on Vintage Trailer Supply but I wasn't sure how flexible they were and I can't call them until Monday. Any thoughts.

p.s. I see your birthday is the day after mine (Nov. 2), but unfortunately I'm 4 years older!

Just wanted to say hello. I pick up my new-to-me 2003 classic 31 in a couple weeks. Saw your location - Anna, IL - and realized we are "neighbors". I'm in Marion, IL.

Hey Kevin, just wondered when you had your rear end separation problems did you replace your axles? If so, where did you get them? Thanks, Brandon Myhand

Hi overlander64. I've been really enjoying your photoz. Can you please tell me something about your outer doorknobs and lock sets? Both of mine are broken and I don't know what I should be looking for in the way of replacements.
    Could you fill me in?
    Many Thanks,
    Meredith

    Kevin:
Thanks for contributing to the 5 Faves. Paul Revere-Saw them in person at a Bill Graham concert blast in 65--lot of good groups there. Tell me, how do you embed the you tube links. I've never had much luck with the pictures, etc. on the forum.

    Hey Kevin,

Hope all is well and you are finally getting a chance to camp a little. Next rally near you I am paying for whatever those chocolate/marshmallow/amazingly delicious pastries were! Keep your eyes open for a good trailer. We sold the Ambassador when Amy and Collin moved to Texas back in June.
