We had exchanged some back and forth last Fall about the Airstream Atlas and LTV RV’s and just wanted to touch base with an update. I am at the RV show in Tampa and went over the Atlas and LTV’s yesterday in detail. My wife and I were both extremely disappointed in the Atlas for a number of reasons but came away even more impressed with the LTV so, after wasting 6 months waiting we will be getting an LTV!

You posted you have changed to the 2019 and was curious as to changes, differences in the ‘19 vs. ‘18. Were they able to give you that information? If I am fortunate enough to find a unit equipped close to what we are wanting, I just don’t want to wait 8-10 months (like everyone else I suppose)!

LOL This is TOO funny! We will certainly take you up on the offer. Weather permitting, we will probably stop by after our walk one day this week. I'll give you a call before we show up on your doorstep.

    Thanks!

OMG, yes, I am at 202. And the AS is in the large garage door seen from the street. I have chatted with your husband, I believe, and I was the one asking about the property several years ago.

Out of Doors Mart....I deal with Joel Kilby, one of the owners. And, I think they are fairly good as dealers, have always taken care of me. But, I have purchased three new AS from them. While there may be a couple percent better deals in the Eastern US, the savings would not be enough to drive there and when one purchases from ODM, the warranty work or service is very close.

We can get together and talk all this over, either walk over and push the door bell, I am upstairs, or call... 336-471-3919. And, my Serenity in the garage also has many modifications if you are interested.

    Be well, Tommie

    Greetings Tommie,

When my husband and I were walking in the neighborhood today I saw a white pickup with your blog website address on the tailgate. When I got home I did a little checking and we may be neighbors! I live at 201 Mooresville. A few years ago someone stopped by and talked to my husband about whether the lot behind our house was for sale because they were looking for a place to build a small house with RV storage. Soon after that the house was built at 202 Mooresville. Are we neighbors?

Do you keep one of your Airstreams at the Mooresville House? We are expecting our new truck to come in this week or next, so I might be taking you up on the offer to look at/talk Airstreams sooner than I had expected. What has been your experience with OOD Mart? Have you purchased there? Is there a sales person you can recommend? We have been pretty underwhelmed with them so far.

Thanks for any info and Happy New Years!

    Hi Tommie,

Thanks for your note. Yes, I am in Greensboro and will be very interested in joining WBCCI once we have our trailer. I am in graduate school right now (hopefully finishing in May), so we are planning on a late spring to summer purchase.

I have been very excited to see how many folks in this area have Airstreams. I had planned to contact some local folks once we got closer to purchasing, but I didn't want to bother anyone prematurely. We have already been bugging the folks at Out-of-Doors Mart enough. LOL

    Take care,
    Cathy Sykes

Saw your WY blizzard photo and just uploaded mine. We're we in the same blizzard? We're you at East Glacier KOA? September 9 or thereabouts? Snow just made everything more beautiful!

I have made and sold a couple mailboxes for members that have ask me to make them one. Not sure I am in a position to tool up again as they were made with left over resin and fiberglass from my kayak build.
