Hi, regarding the heater in teh caravel, we went with the smallest model. It was not hard to install, it's a straight shot out the back of the heater, but I did have to patch the old hole and cut a new hole for the new smaler-style heater outlet on the side. Because of the wheelwell I could not position the heater to use the old hole, but I know Darol, who helped me do it, had succeffully done that on another caravel he worked on.
I works great, keeps the place nice and warm, but it is loud. Unfortunately we sleep on the gaucho so my head is right next to it at night, and I was used to the old hydroflame which was very quiet. But anything you get is going to have a fan and be noisy, unless you went with that other kind of heater, which I can't remember the name of right now. The ones that are flat mounted to the wall usually, they burn propane, give off radient heat. I had one of those in our Bambi and it gave off a LOT of heat, and was silent.
