No, I was never able to tow the Airstream with my Burb. I had the 402 and TH400 rebuilt and got 16MPG with it on the hwy @ 55MPH. I sold it for $3500 a few months before I bought the Airstream, because my late wife Sherri was dying of metastatic breast cancer, and we needed the money for bills.
I wish had not had to get rid of it; it was my baby. I would love to own another one.

I'd say you did very well, especially if it is in good shape and you don't have to spend a year getting it ready! We have had only a few things that needed tweeking..contacts on the doorbell , contatcs on some of the switches, etc, and the only thing that will realy take some effort wil l be the furnace. The wife was asmoker, and, even tho she said she didn't smoke inside, it must have carried a bit on her body as i can still pick up a trace of it, so this weekend we'll scrub it out. Our biggest decision now is whether to continue cross-placing a queen bed atop the old bunks (we have the rear bedroom) or to try to replace the old original twins and have soem sort of a bridge piece to make it into a queen at night (my boyfriend is hung on the "original" issue...me not so much...I'm more interested in comfort!) I do hope to replace the original gathered track-curtains, as the ones hanging now hang out into the room too much. Have any pictures yet?

I got mine for $6100...the auction ended at noon on a Monday, which was a bad time for the seller, but a good time for me. It's in really lovely shape except for the furnace (never used in 34 years)...so i can only judge from the other auctions for the previous two months..and, according to them, it was a good price....about $3000 less than most in this shape...The custom painting on the inside of the front door is what actually swayed me....
