Are you at all interested in taking a trip across Florida to Fort Myers to inspect an Airstream for my family and me? Its a 1997 28' Airstream Classic Excella. We are out of state and in need of a third party to verify the trailer is in working condition and the floor is solid.

Let me know if you're up for it. I'll pay your travel gas and food!
    Thank you

Good Afternoon Kingsman 33 - I noticed you are a volunteer inspector in Melbourne - by chance, have you heard about or inspected the 2011 25' FC currently listed for $46,000 in Airstream Classifieds? I'm referring to the unit listed in February and re-listed due to non-paying buyer.

Have you seen this one? If so, please call me. If not, how close are you to this location? Thanks!!

Saw you were a volunteer inspector. I am picking up my new 2017 25' FC at Orlando RV probably the first week in Jan. 2017. I am looking for someone who knows AS to do the walkthrough with me to catch all the things that are wrong up front. Wondering if you are available or know of anybody? Would gladly pay for gas and a great meal. Thanking you in advance.

I saw the pic you posted of the two Honda generators on your rear bumper. Have you had any issues with damage to the frame from the weight bouncing back there as you travel? Thanks!

    Hi Kingsmen 33;

Joe Wills here in Iowa and shopping for an Airstream apparently in Florida. I am looking for an inspector for a 2004 Airstream Classic 25 in Kissimmee. Is this something you are willing and able to do?

My understanding is that the floor needs replaced due to the previous owner tearing out the other floor and installing tile squares. It seems to me to be a downgrade in flooring coming from carpet and vinyl and so I am concerned that there may have been or is some sort of water issue. They have also replaced the AC unit due to squirrels. It came with a 15,000BTU upgraded from the factory when new and I also wonder if the new one is a 15k and if it has the Duo-Therm heat feature as well. If you would be willing to do an inspection of this unit for me I would be happy to pay you sir. Not sure how long he will hold it so of course the sooner the better.

    Best,

    Joe

Chad: thanks for the note. Somehow I missed your response. Good to hear your comments/review of the bike rack and bumper addition. I will be in touch with my dealer to get a price on the cost for these items for the spring. I am looking forward to the first trip in the spring, perhaps as early as February if I can convince Sue to take some time for a trip down into the U.S. for a break from our long winter. We have the flexibility to take work with us and can make it a working holiday. For now we shovel snow and enjoy the white Christmas that is upon us. Thanks again. Keith

Hi. Saw your ad for 16' Sport on Airstream Forum.

My wife and I have been talking about an Airstream and would be interested in seeing yours. We live in Coconut Creek, FL (between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton). We started out with tent camping, then bought a teardrop which we recently sold, upgraded to a vintage restored Shasta Compact, and are ready to start looking for an Airstream.

Please let us know if we can arrange to see your Sport; maybe we can take a road trip this coming weekend (November 16 or 17), if agreeable to you.

Look forward to seeing your Sport and meeting you.

I see that you have your 16' Sport for sale. I am hoping you could answer a couple of questions about your unit. I have the same and was wondering about installing the rear bumper and the bike rack. My question is how the weight of the bikes affects the hitch weight and the behaviour of the trailer while towing. Also, I am wondering about the addtional weight that the bumper and bike rack added to the trailer.

I am also wondering about what you are towing your trailer with. We use a 2012 Honda Pilot Touring Edition and effect of he weight of the bumper, bikes and rack are a concern. I know that when we are towing with contents in the holding tank we can feel a difference in the handling of the trailer on the highway.

Thank you for your time on this.

We have had ours for one year and absolutely love it.

    Keith
