    Hi Kevin,
I just saw your post about having the 1977 service manual on CD. I wonder if you have any extra CDs. If so, how much would you charge to send me a copy to:

    Hi Kevin,

Do you still have a copy of the 77 Overlander Service Manual. I have a 76 with double/double rear bath and one piece stove oven. I have the owners manual but not the service. I'd love to get my hands on some more info. I could send you an ftp link or some money to mail the CD. thx personal email is kkseabloom@Hotmail.com

    Kevin,
I have a 76 25' Tradewind and in thinking of installing a dinnette. I really like the way yours looks and have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

    1. Did you use the same tambours that were under the gaucho and just relocate them?

    2. What kind of wood did you use for the frame?

    3. Where did you get the table?

    4. I can't tell from the pictures, but I assume that to make up the bed that the table rest on a lips that extends out from the top of each side of the bench seats. Correct?

    5. What do you make the cushions out of so the bed is comfortable?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Chuck, all of the 25' models of this era have the bathroom in the rear. Ours has the mid-double bed, which is a drop-down sofa. We put in a double mattress for comfort. The only drawback to this is the aisle to the bathroom is narrower when the bed is down permanently - but that's OK with us.

There is a accordion-type partition between the double bed and the kitchen/dinette - which also makes into a double bed. Lots of pictures with various models can be found at Vintage Airstream Home in the "Vintage Archives" section.

I think in ours the dinette was Airstream-built, but put in sometime later after the front couch was removed. The woodgrain and trim match perfectly, so I don't think it was a DIY job. Factory dinettes are really rare.

As for your choice - it depends on how big you want to go. There are just 2 of us so 25' is plenty of room. The 30'+ models are heavier to tow as well.

Hi Kevin. Cool trailer. I'm looking for something similar but not sure what I'm looking for. I like the dinette in your trailer. Can you describe the rest of the floor plan, particularly the sleeping quarters - are they twins in the middle of the unit with the bath at the other end of the dinette? We're looking for something with the dinette at one end (or at least a couch there that we could remove) and the "bedroom: at the other end so we could make a double bed or better yet, at queen.

Sorry for the dumb questions but it is hard to find the floor plans of these units.

    Thanks,

    Chuck Brown in KC
