Hey, Nice stream! I was looking for a 65-69, but there weren't too many around here. We got a '72 Ambassador. I've always wanted an Airstream. Like the colors of the interior. Cheers!

Jezbell,Thanks for the friend request!Wow a 66 Ambie.Nice.I have been working so much on the 65 have not had time to post new pics.Doing all the work myself.(built hot rods and houses as a hobby)Purchashed in Dec.Have stripped down to aluminum.Cleaned up frame
and rust proofed.I am adding new tanks and waiting for them to arrive so I am doing a little polishing (nasty job) but worth it.
Tell me about your 66.(It has a Honruras Mahogany interior ?What are your plans for it?It is time consuming, but every day you will see a little more progress.
You can see on my thread "Gutting the 65" the process.I also got alot of encouragement from Ambie64(Dar Dane in Phoenix)Mine and his being basically the same as your 66 the posts will be full of stuff you will encounter.
I am a photographer in Dallas and if you want to call anytime my cell is 214 808 1802.
There is another photographer in your area who has a Stream .His name is Rick and I think his forum name is fotochop.

    Tell me about your 66

i was so worried i borrowed a run away canoe and used the tree line and a shovel to make my way down to my property on the river.
i didnt get all the way onto my property before i got swept up in current and had to be rescued, but i did see my airstream going across the road on its side in about 8 ft of water.

ok so here it goes....i think i undersatnd now why folks were warning me of wheel base length....SCARY!!!
the wagoneer actually did really really good hauling,i had a few scares with 18wheelers rushing by my 60mph ass...and when they whooshed by me on both sides it did cause quite a sway.
after a few scares i learned to feel"....and react accordingly
we stayed on stone mountain park in atlanta georgia...
this park was FABULOUS!!! will be returning
im glad that...
