Haven't heard from you in awhile. Just wondering how you are doing. We went to the Springstream and had a great time. Still have some bugs to squash but nothing major at this point.

Hi Katie, I was just thinking about you. We are doing fine. Waiting to get the Princess back-her rear end is being fixed and a new BR is going in. We still have a lot to do but sort of do it as we can afford it. I did get my kayak and have really ben enjoying that. Hope to catch up with you this summer. Dannie

Saw your comment on members blog on trip through the Carolinas. We lived in Newport, NC early in our marriage from 1961 through 1964. We often travel through on our way to FLA. and try to meet old friends. Sadly many have passed on or moved away.

We first lived in the first house right off Hwy70 on the Loop Rd. ($55./Mo). First born son was born in an old school that was made into a tiny hospital. It was right on the water in Morehead City. The doctor was appropriately named "Dr. Sam Hatcher".

Will likely stop in the area again in Feb on our way south. Need a couple of meals from "Captain Bill's" and "The Sanitary Fish Market". Love your area and the memories of our young years there.

    Best regards,

We got the new black tank from inland installed here is a photo of my husband fiberglassing around the fillings.

We ended up needing a new thetford valve and new part that the hose attaches to. We got them from vts. We also had to get a new closet flange (toilet floor flange) because the old had the threads rusted off. here is the floor and cut out before we installed black tank.

Well it's been a while since I last posted but we are waiting for parts right now.
We got the new toilet from VTS it's a sealand travel lite high toilet. Looks very well made. We tried to use the old floor flange but the threads that go into the black tank were rusted off. So we ordered a new one from VTS (it's on backorder) We looked for a threaded flange everywhere but only found that sealand makes them. We tried to make the old thetford valve work but it was broken and not usable so we...

The fridge is burping right now, and let me tell you it wasn't easy getting it out.
To start out we knew there were 4 bolts in the floor you can see from the outside compartment. We also knew there was an L shaped piece of aluminum on the side that held the counter top to it. We removed the overhead cabinets and the cabinet on top the counter. Then we got the side piece off and the counter up and...

Well we got the new floor in the bathroom. it's a 2 ft section that we had to replace. We went with regular plywood (for floors) We painted it with por 15 to give it some more protection.
Getting it in was not an easy job. We realized it was either try to get it in in one piece by removing the belly skin and getting the skin up high enough to slide it in like some full monti's have done here. or cut in 2 and have a seem somewhere. After starting to remove the belly skin to the right of...

Since my last update I have painted the frame in the back with por 15 after using marine clean and metal ready on it. We decided to go with regular plywood because the treated wood we bought was a little tiny bit too thick and I read on the forums that the chemicals will eat away at the aluminum. We painted the wood with por 15, and it is cut, we just need to make sure the back end is not leaking at all before we put that in.
