Aye, Tim...a kindred "black pearl" owner! Keep us posted on your '73 project.

"Wherever we want to go, we go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and sails; that's what a ship needs. Not what a ship is. What the Black Pearl really is, is freedom." Cap'n Jack

Yup, last month, also visited the southernmost VFW while I down that way. Beware as I change my avatar when whimsically stricken.

I just realized that when click on "view conversation" it maintains a common thread. Is that you in your avatar standing next to what I believe to be the southernmost point in the continental US at Key West?

Vaughn- when I was over there in 69, the vertically challenged Marines were used to check out the tunnels of the nva. There is NO such thing as a small Marine! lol, Thanks, enjoy the maze of life, it's easier when you go directly for what you want.

I have copied your profile photo of the maze and sent it to my boss, a Marine. (According to him, “Hey diddle diddle, straight up the middle) Since he is the same age as Jack Benny (He is not a big guy. Again According to him, there are advantages to being a small target. {I believe it.}), he probably is the littlest Marine. When the US pulled out in 1975, that would mean that he was wading through rice paddies wearing a flack-jacket when he was 6-and getting younger every year.

I appreciate him and all of you!
