I believe I actually paid $12.50 for the stove (in 1975, I think, at a surplus store in San Rafael), and my boyfriend had one of the more expensive ($20-something) Optimus 8R stoves.
I would love to get it working.....now that I am retired and have the time to reeeeally take it apart and mess with it....but, looks like that's not happening!
