I was hoping for a good old time hockey fight Wednesday, but well I guess we are civilized now, have to watch Slapshot or Boston Bruins reruns on Youtube

"Proud Appelation American" -- interesting signature -- could you tell me specifics of what it means? I get the general idea but just want more details!

Amen about Homeland Stupidity, the Armed Forces are defending America not those yahoos. They are just Civilians with Clipboards and power trips.

The strippers are wide, flat bottom canoes to carry me and my stuff into remote areas safe and dry. Next boat might be a small outboard powered "john" type boat made from the leftovers of the Snake River sleds, or maybe a small lapstrake "tender" made from cvg Tamarack (Western Larch).

OMG.....you're right.....$90 for the SVEA 123! I wonder if they are still made in Sweden I believe I actually paid $12.50 for the stove (in 1975, I think, at a surplus store in San Rafael), and my boyfriend had one of the more expensive ($20-something) Optimus 8R stoves.

I went looking to see if I still had mine....I found the stacking cookware thing I kept it in, along with a small pump I bought to pressurize it without pouring white gas all over the stove, then lighting it. My husband is a "tosser" and I am a "keeper." Unfortunately, he tosses MY STUFF! I would love to get it working.....now that I am retired and have the time to reeeeally take it apart and mess with it....but, looks like that's not happening!

    Cheers

I've built many strip canoes, a drift boat, and some small "exploring" boats. Latest ones are a couple of power river boats for use in Hells Canyon on the Snake River.
