Well Pat and i, are getting ready for our second season in the Airstream world--are you folks getting any plans underway for an exciting second year? Any rally's, or international on your schedule?

Have you checked out the "Silver Sisters" within the AS community? If so, I have mentioned them to several folks, of course not of the female gender, no way for me to check them out if it is a worthwhile organization. Had a few nights in "Patches", and I can honestly say I anticipate a ton of adventurous fun times in our future. Signed up for four week end rally's, one I am co-hosting, and the International Rally, because the seminars look like a huge accelerated learning curve. Next year, International is in Farmington, NM, 90 miles from our home town. Hope you have a bunch of week ends planned with the "Sisters on the Fly", I gave that book to several clients of mine--they just love it.

Pick up the new AS in the morning, 3/12/14--three day presentation, hitch, components, driver training--I must appear a slow learner, or a first class dealer. Have my camera along. Just found out my application for Ballon Fiesta was accepted, so by season end we are in attendance with 200 other Airstream and ballon enthusiasts, also the International Rally, and two 4CU week end get togethers---of course the usual boondocks opportunities. Our goal is 30 nights this first season. How are your plans shaping up this year?

Wednesday, 3/12, this week we pick up the "Cloud". It actually came in on the 29th January; however, had some minor surgery so was "grounded from lifting activity. So besides paying for it, sitting in it, having wine and lunch several times at the dealers lot, my wife, Pat, says no more "tease" we finally get to bring her home. I am clueless on how we might use it this first year but being type A, and several AS active friends I am sure we will jump in. Actually would you believe we are Co-Hosts for a rally in July in Pagosa Springs imagine someone asking me a question probably hand them an owners manual and take off running in the opposite direction. Thinking of attending the International Rally in Gillette, Wyo, signed up for the Ballon Fiesta in New Mexico, and several grand kid visits.

Just checking in on your Airstream learning curve. My wife and I are still anxiously awaiting the delivery of our 30 ft FC in January--it ships from factory on the 22nd. Was a bit envious to know there was 200 Airstreams just 90 miles down the road at Ballon Fiesta and we were not one of them. We should be there next year. Been reading everything we can and have several mentors as we await our Airstream. Hope your adventures have been mostly fun.

    Vickie,
I don't know why I'm not getting notified when I have a message here. I just happened to see it just now.
The ad says it's sold, did you buy it? or someone else?

Sorry about that. I should have given you my direct email. I'm going to try and find the notification setting so this doesn't happen again.

Sorry, I'm just now seeing this. Estacada is about 1hr from me. I would love to check it out for you, but I have zero time these days. There is an Airstream dealership out that way... Let me think about this, and let me know if you're still looking at the one out here.
I'm sure if I can't do it, I'll find someone that can.
For me it would be 3 hours to drive out, inspect it, and return. I'd want $200 for my time. That would be a 5 page report, all systems tested, and 100 high-resolution pictures.
I'm sure I could find someone that has more time than me, and just as much skill. I make $125/hr and when there's work, I need to work!

    -Kevin

Hi Peter,

The water situation is much improved. We did quite a lot of flushing and have been using the water normally. In the morning or after a period when the water hasn’t been used, it’s still coming out SLIGHTLY discolored from the galley faucet. But it’s so much better.

It’s odd the water filter that’s shown in the owners manual, looks nothing...
