hi our 1986 345 is having electrical trouble, if you turn the lights on the air gauge goes off, and the ignition gets hot ?? im looking for someone who can fit this with confidence in the chicago area any referrals

Hi all we just got back from our first long trip with our 1986 345 and two problems came up, i have read similar blogs but did not see the same symptoms , the engine starts and runs great when its cold but once its hot and you turn it off it wont restart, one rv guy replaced all wires still wont start when hot, i was told a new starter and heat sheild should do it , how do i find a great mechanic in the chicago area, also there is a heat shield in place that came with the power banks system
