Hi Crazeevw, I recently picked up a 1989 345LE for tailgating. Do you still have yours and can I ask you some questions? Thanks Jim

mark49brown, never could figure out exactly where Darkspeed actually lived. Last I heard was that he found an older Greyhound or Prevost bus and gave his sister the Airstream and he was working on the bus now.

Hi crazeevw... I was reading through an old thread about the Darkspeed aluminum falcon project. I was intrigued that he dropped off the radar like he did after all his informative posts. You had mentioned checking on him at one point and curiosity has compelled me to ask if you ever found out anything?

Hi: I do not know where you live or parked. In the Phoenix, Arizona Metro Area we have a company that installs aftermarket spray foam insulation in both framed & block homes. I bought parts off of a 1991 Airstream Coach that had rotted to the ground. The bus had steel framing between the fiberglass exterior and the interior walls. I priced the installation for my home of 2,000 square feet. It was a $1000.00. They said they would install the foam without removing my drywall. They just spray the foam inbetween the frame or into the holes in the Block construction. There are several companies in Phoenix. I assume this is true across America. Lonnie

    Hi Derek,

Am rebuilding my battery drawer and noticed you found heavier duty slides. Do you have a source/contact for theses?
    Let me know & thanks,
    Nick

From thread regarding Battery Tray Repair:

"ok, have read through this thread, does anyone have any suggestions on best way to remove battery tray. Is it best to remove all cables prior? Extend the drawer? Remove drawer from slides? Or remove drawer and slides all at once.

I've got new 500lb rated slides (300 for mobile application) that I want to get installed soon.

Having some sort of idea of what I'll need for tools, and possibly extra set of hands sure would be nice to know.

    Thanks, Derek"

    Greetings,

My name is Fred & I'm trying to purchase my first Airstream, but it's a long distance proposition. I'm looking for help with an inspection that will inform me of the condition of the trailer. I'm in Minnesota & it's in Sarasota...any thoughts? Thanks, Fred Q. 612.227.2340 / thequigs@visi.com
