    Doing great! My awning is looking good, and the replacements for the zippdee are on their way. The lady in California did a fantastic job at a great price for us. Best regards..

    The lady who gave me spinning lessons showed me how to do it by hand using a drop spindle. If I enjoy the spinning I'll move up to a portable wheel. She has one that folds down almost small enough to fit in an overhead compartment, and it is beautiful too. Even the modern wheels look so cool, and it's just slick the way they work. I can see myself sitting at a beautiful campsite outside the trailer, spinning away on a wheel like that!

    We did a weekend trip as our maiden voyage. everything was fine except the water pump had a short in it...we had to beat on it to bring it back to life. All is well though the dealer replaced it. I found a 1963 Ambassador down the block that has been sitting there for years. It is full of junk and looks more like a storage shed than a vintage unit. Wonder if the guy would part with it???? I can't go anywhere any more without looking for a silver sausage! I am intrigued with all these guys bringing them back to their original glory. Know anybody interested in something like that? I would go do a door knock to find out more.
    Thanks for the reply. You are a nice lady....I forgot your name already! I'm horrible with names.
    Be good,
    Joe and Rachel and the boys!

    Hi Paula,

    Great! We get to meet your son. Is he the one with the long hair? I remember pictures that you showed me long time ago.
    We haven't gone anyway since Temecula in June with the group. Can't wait to get out a do something fun. We've been so busy with works and the family lately, just kind of hard to get away.
    TT felt lonesome lately, since we havn't taken her out for a trip. We got 4 kittens from two stray cats in our backyard, and they decide to call it home. So cute and we are feeding them. TT spends some of her days watching the kitties on the other side of the glass sliding door. I am sure she will be happy to see Cody. He's a sweet heart!

    Hi Paula!

    "Pimp the lounge chair"? Easy, especially for someone as crafty as you, Paula. Just decorate your lounge chair anyway you like and impress all of us during the saturday night potluck! Pick a theme and do your magic!!!
    Can't wait to see your entry. It's all for fun and show.
    We usually have different theme for each rally, like ugly sweater contest...etc. I thought that some people might not feel as compel to dress themselves funny at a rally, but dressing up a lounge chair might be much flavorful for most, and would be a fun contest!
    Can't wait to see you guys at Kernville!
    Take care,
    Cat =^^=

Hi, We just returned from the Coast. Weather was beautiful with the usual afternoon fog creeping over the ocean and inland. After the usual setup at our site, we got all the accessories that went along with the awning. We set up the awning which went up quite quickly and it worked!..Over the next 2 days, we played with the poles and stakes, adjusting and readjusting them so that they'd all fit together. We also tried making the poles taller, and also moved the poles to the inside set of grommets...

Always looking for some new kind of project, I set out to sew our new awning for the Safari. After 2 weeks, we're ready to test it out!. Trying to maneuver 12 ft. x 10' of screen fabric material through the arms of my circa '69 Touch & Sew, going through 3 sewing machine needles, 2 spools of heavy duty nylon upholstery thread and a bunch of pin pricks, I finally finished it. The grommets were put in by my hubby, and we ordered telescopic tent poles and stakes to set up. We're heading for the...
