I got your email about spraying the tambours and mine turned out great. I am out of town right now, but when I get back I can see what paint I actually used. It was a specific spray can that consists of metallic specks, so it doesn't look flat and had more of a shimmer to it. I purchased the paint at Lowes and it was no more than the regular spray cans. Prior to spraying, I removed the tambours, sanded them lightly, and used a primer designed for plastics. I don't remember the name of the primer either, but it was a spray can that was NOT oil based. Oil based primers/paints can actually melt plastic. When I get back and I can check the actual labels of the paints that I used.
