Steve, Thanks for contacting me. I missed this message. I have not been on the site in a while either. Keith pulled me away from a lucrative career in Electrical Engineering. He was my mentor and is a great friend. I owe much to him as I have been making a living as a professional photographer for 18 years and I do see him somewhat often. Hope all is well. The progress on the AS is slow, but I have been working on it off and on the last couple months.

The seamermate has held up better than any other sealant I used on the rebuild. It looks almost as good today as the day I finished applying it. I recommend it above all other sealants for aluminum, great product.

Hi Steve, Sorry for the late response. I would pass on this rig for what you need. I have towed my Safari with the burb, but it has been upgraded with a 454 and th400 and some suspension goodies.

From the posts I have seen it sounds like you are well on your way to living the dream...

Hi Steve. Actually mine is registered as a 66 if I remember correctly. It does indeed have the mahogany interior. I have some rot from a leaky skylight that is going to necessitate some floor repair. I will definitely check out your thread. This site is priceless. The information and nice people help keep these things alive! I am a VW goofball as well, so sites like this are great! I am also setting up my Fiance's 67 Globetrotter for our business as well. The Tradewind will get new flooring and rot repair. Of course a gooooood Polish job is planned. I need to re-organize the rats nest that is also known as my plumbing and electrical area in the rear of the TW. i am going to try to find some pictures of some original set ups as well as some modern aproaches to that mess. I am still trying to figure out some of the inbox functions of this site, so bear with me. Thanks for making me your Friend. I hope to help out and contribute to the community as much as possible. ~Brett~
