Our trailer is a 1971, so the fresh water tank is under the floor in the kitchen area. (The "1968" of the picture is the arbitrary number of that camera exposure.)

I've seen pictures on the forums of some nice U shaped dinettes that cover a front water tank with a seat. The table is then on a pedestal fixed to the floor, but removable to allow the space to convert to a bed. It still seems much more useful than that awkward side table, although it reduces open floor space.

Seems there are always tradeoffs, but those make the challenges that make it an adventure.

hello, my name is Tom Kearns. I live in Darrington WA about 40 miles north & east of Woodinville. LAst year, I bought a 78 24' Argosy from CA and slowly fixing the few things that need repair. The trailer will need to be repainted as the roof and end caps paint has worn off to bare metal is many spots. The colored accent band around the trailer has also faded into a blah brown color. Did you repaint and sptrip your trailer back to bare aluminum? While the picture is hard to diearn, it apperas the roof and end caps are painted white and the lower portion striped to bare aluminum. Correct? Did you do this yourself or did someone do it for you? I am goinfg to remove the dark brown carpet and replace it with a light colored laminate floor.

Plese return to me at tretmk@earthlink.net , regards
