Hello, I'm looking at a 1973 Argosy in Taos on Saturday, 2/13. It's tentatively purchased pending an inspection. Would you be willing to inspect it with me? Happy to pay for gas, time, and a meal. 520-906-3091

Hello! I am going to be viewing a trailer in Deming, NM on either 11/20 or 11/25. Don't know if you'd be able to, but I'd really appreciate it if you could meet me there once the details are ironed out and review the trailer with me. I'll gladly pay for your gas, a meal, and your time.

    Hi!
My husband and I are looking to purchase an Airstream trailer. We have found a couple that we like in Albuquerque. We were wondering if you would be able and willing to inspect for us in that area. My email is beachsidemama@gmail.com.
    Let me know. Thank you.

Glad you liked my snapshots. I've owned a 60's Bambi, a couple of 1953 Vagabonds (a 35' and a 41') and a few Spartans (a '51 Royal Mansion 31' and a '56 Executive Mansion 50' two bedroom model). The big Spartan I owned for about 8 years, bought from the man who got it from the original owner, did some restoration work, but fell on hard times and had to sell it. The big Spartan just sat (on a ranch SE of Prescott, AZ) until the guy I bought it from asked if I would consider selling it back to him. "Sure," I said (thinking I have too damn much stuff anyway.) He said:" Not a day goes by without my wife and I regretting we had to sell that trailer. We loved the Spartan." How many chances do we get in life to make a person's dream come true? So I sold it back to him for exactly what I paid, which was peanuts. And I can lunch on that story for the rest of my days.
    Best,
    Michael

Fantastic! Thanks Ken! I was looking for it using the "threads started by" function and thought maybe I was drunk....

    Wish me luck!

    Hi Alumaholic,

Been reading a few threads on rectifying peeling thermal coating in between window panes and it seems like one I read from you back in 2006 "fixing foggy fenestration" is the same situation I'm in!

Long story short, I've got a '78 Sovereign and I'm mustering up the courage to try to fix 5 windows myself (not the vistas).

I don't know if I missed it, but did you ever end up fixing yours? If so, how? One of my windows was replaced by the PO to a single pane, so I would't be opposed to doing that as well...

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Mike

    Hi Alumaholic,
My name is Dr. James Courtney Flaks. I am looking to purchase my first Airstream for some traveling around the States. I am hoping to look at an Airstream in Albuquerque this coming Wednesday.

It is a 1972 24 Argosy and they want 8,000 for it. They put in new appliances and they said that it has a few dents on it. They had previously lived in it as full-timers. They put up an ad to sell their airstream in this website's classified section.

    1972 Airstream Argosy 24 - New Mexico

Would you be able to help me look at the Airstream this coming Wednesday in Albuquerque? My cell phone number is 719-679-2368.
    Regards,
    James

I purchased the Allure flooring at Home Depot (special order). It is very easy to install if you take your time. If you decide to use, it send me a pm and I will give you some more installation tips. Since it is a floating floor I left about a 3/16" gap around the edges and covered this with light oak molding. It is easily cleaned with any floor cleaning materials and is very abrasion resistant. The only complaint some people have is the product shrinks during the winter months and you can have some gaps as much as 1/8". It doesn't bother us and closes back up during the summer months. It is so much more durable that the linoleum that Airstream installs that is well worth the investment of $2.00 sq. ft. The variation of the cork coloration hides little spots until you have time to clean the floor. We are delighted with it and would install it again if it was necessary.

Hi there. I'm up here in Tierra Amarilla I'm a new Airstream person. I'm looking at an 85 Airstream Excella that I found in Albuquerque. It looks to be in fantastic condition. I was wondering if you might be able to do an inspection for me. I would like to be down there, but I can't get through the fire smoke around Espanola right now. I plan to live in the trailer up here on the ranch where I work. I've got one shot at it! Thanks. My email address is sheridan616@gmail.com. My telephone number is 575-209-0074
