    Thanks Gail,

Yesterday we took it out for its first real spin. My son and I had a blast! The new (14) year old truck towed it perfectly. He insisted on the profile picture.
How are you guys? Did you get lil bu out of captivity? Are you still within budget or like me have you spent so much money on these things it makes your head spin? well.. atleast you have an understanding audience here on the forums. When is your first trip out? how is the BMW? did you service the transmission yet?

    Take care,

    Vinnie

She is in the shop! Bill spent time cleaning the inside getting the sticky stuff off. We love her and we are overly anxious to get her on the road. Biill wants to know if he should down shift going down hills? We hope to get her back by the lst of the year with the holidays the repair place is busy so we will try to be patient.

Yes. Thats the trail. The rocks you have to climb when you get just through the gates are enormous! Here is the jeep that i put in the back of my truck when we go up there G503 Album - 89 Ford F350 Jeep Hauler
Thats quite a hike especially carrying an axle.. but thats 4 wheelin.. always be prepared! Wow.. your son is making a career of the Navy.. great. Thanks for the service.

If you mean the 4x4 trail to Barrett Lake, WOW. The summer of '94 just before our son went into the Navy he and I made that 'drive' with our CJ7. Just beautiful and very difficult. We broke an axle and had to hike out for parts. The next day we hiked back and replaced the axle on the trail. Our son is still in the Navy and we still have the Jeep. Yeah, lotsa memories for us up there.

    Hi Vinnie
    Nice to meet you!
I think the Casini rally is in April...at least that's when it was last year.
We're gonna try to go this year. Have you been to Casini? It's a very nice campground. The kids had a great time throwing rocks into the river.
We camp out in Petaluma a lot at the KOA.
We were there last weekend and will be there again next weekend for the Labor day holiday.
We've met serveral locals there...last weekend we met a couple who also live in Mill Valley very close to where we live!
Hope to see you at Casini whenever it is.
Look for the guys with the three Scottish Terriers and two boys.
    Dennis
