    Hi AirMiles,

Great posts on your solar setup. This summer, I am going to add solar to the roof of my 2019 27FBQ GT. I think I can copy your exact setup.

My first thought was to cut all the posts and paste into a single document that I can print out and reference.

Any chance you have a single file (pdf) with your setup?

I just found an old forum you were part of dealing with changing the existing batteries in your AS from 12 volt (2) to 2-6 volt batteries. I am considering this and wonder if i need to do anything other than install the new batteries in series as you have stated and wire properly as you have stated. Are there any adjustments required with charging unit, solar controller or anything else, or is it just a remove and replace deal with the proper series wiring? Thanks in advance for your advice. We have a 2019 FC 25RB twin with zamp solar installed at dealer.

Thanks for your response on the camping sites. I don't understand what "dispersed camping corridors or areas are. Can you explain?

Do you know if there is anything like the BLM boondocking-friendly type areas in the SE? Army Corps of Engineers, State natural preserves, anything like that? I'm not really sure where to start looking.

    Hi Airmiles!
I'm following your lead and replacing my stock group 24 Interstates with Duracell EGC2 6v's. Did you have to modify your battery box at all? We have a 2017 FC 27ft, so I think our boxes should be the same. Thanks!

I have been following a number of your posts regardign solar and battery systems as well as read through your posts on design and installation. Your information on power loads recently has been very helpfull as I think through the design of our system.

Regarding your refrigerator load can you clarify if you are running it fully electric resulting in a 1.12A draw or is that the draw when running off propane? You may have posted this somewhere and I just missed it - my apologies if so.

    Thanks,
    Joseph

I read your post regarding AS inside temperature monitoring with interest. While it is not as simple as a subscription service that goes straight to cell, it would, in the long run, be less expensive. With it comes complications if for no other reason that the number of devices involved (not much different than using campground WiFi, although more portable).

So, before I jump into this solution, I was curious about what you do not like about this rig, if anything.

Can you enlighten me on the downside?

    Thanks,

    David Briggs

Very interested in your self-installed Solar setup - we also have a 25FB and i would greatly appreciate any details you may have about the solar setup you put on as I would love to look at the details to see if I can replicate. I thought there was a thread detailing your install, parts and equipment, etc but can't find it again. Thanks
