    Greetings Jeff!

The bathtub, vanity, shower surround, and vanity backsplash are all original. The toilet is a more modern replacement Thetford. A local bathroom refinisher totally refinished the bathroom using a variety of products to suit the multiple materials Airstream utilized. There was some formica, some aluminum, some fiberglass, and some ABS plastic. The finish has been quite durable and was a bargain at less than $500 for materials and labor.

So long as the original bath fixtures are discolored, a residential bathroom refinisher can easily refinish an Airstream bath so long as they aren't frightened by the rather tight confines of the space. In a way, I lucked out in that the gentleman who refinished my bath has the hobby of restoring 1970s GM muscle cars and he treated my Airstream as he want to see his cars treated when they are in a restoration shop.

    Good luck with your coach!

    Kevin

    Overlander64,

i like the restoration project you did on your overlander. Where did you get the bathtub replacements at? I just bought a 69 overlander and i am trying to get ideas on how to spuce it up a bit. Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    jeff
