    Richard,

Thanks for your answers. My 345 has a Chevvy 454 engine. I don't think I've seen a device like you've describe. I'll look again. The pump seems to be getting power only when the truck engine is running. I haven't tried yet to see if it also gets power from the coach batteries. Yesterday was the first time I noticed the problem.

I appreciate your help. I too have some switches that I don't know what they're for. Not many Airstream classic MH owners around Reno to talk to.

    Again, many thanks,
    Gene

In rereading your question, no I don't think the freshwater pump should be activated without the coach switch being on.
You might check out the battery isolator in the front hood area drivers side. They sometimes end up having bridge wires installed that may cause this cross over. It's a blue finned device with four terminals arraigned top to bottom. The bridge wires connect some of these terminals. Again post your puzzling questions on the forum to get more input.

    Cheers Richard

There are a couple of switches for the fresh water pump in my coach, one on the controll panel above the stove and one in the toilet room. These can be turned on when ever the coach battery switch is turned on. They will work whether the engine is on or not.

I still have a couple of mystery switches of unknown function after two years of full timing in my coach. Past owners have made changes and left old gear in place. This adds some to the confusion. I hope this helps answer your question. If not post a thread and many insights will come up.

Hi tevake, I don't know if you can help me but I noticed that my '88 345 water pump was working when I started the engine. It's been sitting in storage for a few months and I started it to be sure my battery was still charged. I hadn't turned on my house batteries so I was surprised that the water pump was working. It might be normal, but I never noticed it before. Do you know if it's supposed to run whenever the truck engine does? I'm really a newbie with this vehicle. I've only taken it out twice.
