Hi Pete. Hope your move goes smoothly. Escapees Chapter 18 (Maple Leaf Chapter) is having their fall rally from Sept 12 through 16th (i.e., Monday through Friday) in Waterloo. I plan on attending. If you are planning on heading south for the winter, you should join the Escapees RV Club. They have number of campgrounds and the rates are very reasonable. I have a tentative service appointment at Jackson Center on November 7th, and from there I head to Arizona. We should meet up to explore caravanning down together. Howard

Hi Pete - We're back in Ottawa now. The winter in AZ was great. Stopped at JC on the way back and had the mods done for the new batteries (now have two 4D AGM batteries, with a combined capacity of 420Ah). Call the house at 613-829-3587 and let's meet up for coffee. Howard

hope all is well with you and that you had a great time south. We have contacted the local Good Sam club as well as the local chapter of the A/S club. We plan to join the A/S club for their spring shake down weekend at Wesley Clover on the 8th of May. That should give us an idea as to the make up of the club. still looking and trying to figure out this new retirement life style. Hi. I just got your message and hope you are enjoying the s/w this winter. Due to some health issues we had to put up with yet another Ottawa winter. not much snow but real cold so far. we would love to meet up with you at the September rally. we have yet to join any of the many clubs. Plan on doing Florida next winter and heading to the s/w in future years. would like to meet for a coffee when you get back to benefit from your experience. Thanks for the reply. Pete

Hi Pete - I had been a member of the Ontario unit of the A/S club, but I dropped out. I am a member of the the Escapees club - the Maple Leaf chapter 18 (Ontario). We will be having a rally in Ottawa at the end of September 2015, which you are welcome to attend. My winters are spent in the south west (AZ, CA, NM, NV, stops in TX), about 4-1/2 months in the A/S, including boondocking at Quartzsite and other places. We'll be back in Ottawa mid-April. Howard

good to see another A?S owner from Ottawa. We have been ;streamers for the past couple of years. we have yet to join the club that represents this area. I have received the sign up package and related information but am yet to sign up. Are you a member and are you aware of other a/s owners from the Ottawa area. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks Pete
