Jeffery I was told by employees when I was there that they restuff axles every day. You could contact GKN and ask. If they indeed do it. Jim Titsmillier EXtention 140 or Neils(pronounced)NELLS Bray Extention 102 or Charlotte 937-596-2101/Charlotte is very knowledgable and can refer you to the men for what it costs. Im thinkn I went the right way because I got new everything. GOOD LUCK

There is only one Distributor of GKN axles in the USA . Thats INLAND RV in Cornna Calif. Im sure there are axles just as good and cheaper, But I oppted to buy from Inland because of my proximity to the GKN factory and my ability to pick them up at factory and save the freight. In ordering from Inland I supplied ANDY (the Owner of Inland) with the serial number of my trailer. The axles was built excatly the same as the original axles that came in the trailer in 1977. I installed them myself ,I had some help, in about 2 hrs. They fit excatly where I took out the old ones ,without redrilling any holes or shimming anything. Oh did I mention I'm 70 yrs old. I had to wince a little with the price which was $1500 for the pair. Thats complete axles ready to ride 12"brakes ,new bearing and seals and all new mounting hardware. The only thing that didn't come with em was the labor and the 8 wire connectors to reconnect the brake wires.
I think Dragon Wagon had one built by someone in Elkhart or Misiwalka Ind and Larry of LOUDRUFF had his built for his Minuet around Cleveland somewhere. So there are lots of options.
Hope I was of some help. U can always PM me if you have more questions. If ya need a pair of them picked up at the factory and installed for you that can be arranged. Of course I have no idea where U are.
GOOD Luck with your search PM me anytime I check my pms at least once a day,
    Roger
