Yes, I replaced the carpet with laminate...it wasn't too hard. a little fussy making all the little cuts to fit around the legs of the cabinets, but overall, not too bad.
don't know what you mean by "waste line". You should start a thread, and post pics. Lots of people will help...

Hi- i was looking at your pictures and noticed you have a 73 safari just like mine. Did you replace the carpet with laminate? Was it hard to do? i have to find a replacement for the waste line. Is that hard to find? thanks for your help. Maggie
