    Hi,
    Well CONGRATULATIONS!

Please be brave and start a thread!
Just look at mine... I bought an unloved, damaged and overpriced Motorhome.
In hindsight, I maybe could have found a better one, but paying $8k at the time seemed like a deal... Anyway, it drove 1600 miles out of the gate and I had a blast.
Nobody beat me for it, and the outpouring of help and support have turned me from a nobody to now being viewed as some kind of expert as well as Rivet Master!
Your Motorhome has been mentioned before in this forum... I think in the classics for sale section.

The fact that now you know its an 82 chassis makes some sense for the battery layout. Here is my suggestion... follow the main + cable from the starter motor and you will find your chassis battery!
Thanks for the offer, if we are coming to Oregon, we will stop by... but it might be a few years!
For a faster reply, email me as I did not see this comment!

Thanks for your help so far. If you're ever in Portland Oregon please look me up. We don't have hook up currently but have 5 acres and a great view.

    Regards,

Another strange thing is that she does not have "park" as a gear, there's neutral, reverse, and drive but no "Park", very strange. Is this typical? Also, there is a lever under the dash to the right of the steering wheel column that I was told is part of the starting procedure, its suppose to be up or down (I don't which), I have no idea what its for. Any Idea?

Oh, the other thing is it has a International 7.3 diesel motor like the kind you find in a Ford F250, obviously an aftermarket deal but certainly adds to the mystery particularly with the electrical wiring. I am anxious to find out how this motor would perform with the moho set up. She's definitely has been neglected and certainly not road worthy at the moment. Its my goal tho bring her back to old glory by next spring. I plan on bringing her home on Sunday and maybe starting a blog once I have a better understanding.

    Steve,
Thanks for your response. So I just made the purchase today and is now a proud owner of a 1982 310. Regarding the battery, I actually got it up and running today, funny thing was I did not do anything different. Looks like my set up is a little different from yours. My battery compartment is located within the coach in the floor just inside the entry door with only (2) batteries. There's plenty of room for (2) more batteries but lack the set up like wiring. I'm still missing or can't find the chassis battery, I could only guess that maybe it is in the hood area or somewhere totally out of sight. I'm totally bewildered. Why did it start up today but not during my initial inspection? And how can it start up without the chassis battery?

Also, There should be two electrical shut off switches at the back of the tray... both should be on.
On the dash panel, the is normally a switch allowing you to boost the chassis battery temporarily... like a instant jump start from the house batteries.
Do NOT use this if the chassis battery is missing or disconnected.

    Hi,
On the 345, there is a battery tray forward of the entrance door, and it normally contains 2x house batteries, and 1x chassis battery.
The chassis battery handles engine starting and lights etc, just like on a truck. The 2 house batteries handle the motorhome stuff, like interior lighting and things.
Here is how mine looked before I modded the whole thing...

    Hope that helps..

Hi I'M Vo, I've been looking at a 1984 310 and had a few questions for you. The PO does not know much about moho and when we were trying to start her up nothing happened, no starter sound or engine cranking over, not even lights on the dash however all interior lights worked through out. Is there a separate battery for the chassis? If so where is it located? I only saw two inside the coach by the entry door under a hatch. Thanks for your help in advance 971.303.3093
