    thanks for the input. When I do my floor replacement (67 caravel) I think that Iwill take the skins off. I figure if the bottom 1/2 is gutted I might as well take the skins off as well. Plus from reading recent posts it looks like I have some outrigger issues to deal with too.
    the plan is to remove belly pan first, to see what is up with the frame/outriggers, and get the funky old insulation out of there.

    I noticed your post today. I'm replacing my floor now I have only removed the lower panels to do this. I will remove uppers later after floor is installed to do unrelated work. I have seen a few trailers where floor is removed without taking off skins. They
    remove plywood,install new and then use a piece of aluminum angle which they rivet thru skin to c channel then screw to floor. I think some then bolt from bottom or screw to frame. Jim
