I have been calling every day to see if there has been any cancellations, and none so far. I think we'll just have to plan on next year and find another rally for now.

I am not sure I have a great answer for you – I checked the maps and it appears middle fork is a good walk from Whittleton. No doubt if it is too far to walk, you can hop on your truck and drive over the main area. My biggest concern - you will not have a full service on your first outing. It is something you can deal with, however. I suggest you contact the campground and ask the ranger their advice.

My husband Ron and I (Lora) have just got into this airstream thing, we haven't even stayed in ours yet (can't wait) Anyway, I 've put us down for a maybe for the Rally in your state of Kentucky. I called to make a reservation and the Middle Fork campsites were all spoken for. How far away would we be from everyone if we where to stay in the other campground. We'd be coming from Iowa and are looking to make this a weekend to weekend trip. Any info you have would be great.
