Bob and Lou: Choices are slim around Heron Lake. There is one place down by El Vado lake that is a cafe (have been there and it is OK, can't handle a big crowd) and an even smaller joint near the turn off to Heron - little Mexican place but we have not eaten there. The only other choice it to go into Chama. I am assuming we are talking something like 30-40 people. Both places are 10 to 15 miles away. BBQ or potluck may be the way to go.
