Thanks for the info. I had never heard of crazelist and have been going from city to citty. I have called all the airstream dealers around the country and they have given me the names of various used RV dealers and RV salvage yards. No luck to date, but I will keep on looking. I am also going to check for local fabricators to see if someone can make me one. Hope all is going well with you and your trailer.

we were just talking about your airstream and we would love to find one like it... yesterday. Kind of weird. What I did to find parts like that is search Craigslist (I use crazedlist, it searches all the craigslists across the country at once) for Airstreams that people are parting out, also, check with the Vintage Airstream clubs site (airstream.net) and post on this forum with a request... someone may just have have what you need lying around.

My name is Jeff Fuller and I have a 25' '76 Trade Wind. You and Roman parked next to me a year or so ago at the San Elijo campground. Since you now own a similiar trailer I thought you might be able to answer a question for me.

Last weekend when my son was going camping the battery compartment door fell off along with the battery and he didn't notice it until someone motioned him over. Apparently it fell off some time before as it was no where in sight. I called Inland RV and they said that the part is no longer made. I did check the Forum and didn't see anyone who had one for sale. Do you have any suggestions as to how I might be able to get a replace door? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
