Sounds like you got hooked up just right. Happy and safe travels. I'll check in here now and then to see if there is an update on your spring and summer road trips.

Hi nice to hear from someone again! Hope all is well with you and yours.

I liked the look and rep the Toyotas have, but in the end I went with a 2017 F250, got one for about 40K and it's roomy and removes all concern about payload even if I never use it all, it's there hehe. Had every feature I might've thought good for towing as well, and mileage not much different at 14mpg, dang it'd big though LOL

It's been a while since logging on with my laptop to see this (usually on my phone with just the daily forum) and wondered how you have done and if you have purchased a Tundra. I was not as clear on payload. I used to carry way more than necessary with the F250 but found that I didn't need the stuff. we are always within the payload but I would not worry if I needed to exceed that by some. If I needed to, I would buy another Tundra...but expect mine to go many more miles...we are at 118K

Hi good to hear from ya!
I'm asking folks if they ever go over payload capacity by necessity with their Tundras because of the low official max and if it's an issue to them if it isn't excessive? Is the Tundra forgiving and capable, many feel it's overbuilt almost by Toyota..

Seems there are a lot of Tundra TVs' out there and many are PMing me, many stress they adhere to tire, axle, gvwr etc and maintain or upgrade tires shocks and so on to be safe.

thanks btw and appreciate your input

Towing 31 classic with 07 double cab 4x4 5.7 TRD and tow pkg. 7th Toyota. Wonderful service from all. Went from 02 F250 powerstroke to the Tundra. Handles great. I do have E tires at about 65-70 lbs. Love it. Questions...let me know. I have towed all combinations for over 40 yrs. I'm good with the Tundra.
