No idea about the software. Don't know enough about the Mercedes programming to even guess at an answer. Instead of a Mercedes dealer, try a Freightliner dealer; Freightliner handled Sprinter vans before Dodge and Mercedes did. I think the nearest one is Shreveport Truck Center on Greenwood Road.

I don't check my own profile very often, so I almost didn't see your comment. A private message would have been better.

Anyway, you can do a "spectacle lift" for up to 50 miles at up to 50 miles per hour, provided you turn the key to the accessory position to unlock the steering wheel and put the gearshift in neutral. For a longer tow on a spectacle lift truck, you need to disconnect the drive shaft. The spectacle lift truck would hitch up to the front wheels, not the rear wheels, and it would not damage your plumbing— it doesn't lift high enough to cause the rear end to drag. That's how my van was towed.

It's not really too tall to fit on a flatbed, though. You just need a flatbed with a bed that's lower than 4 feet and longer than 22 feet. Either that or it would have to be flatbed towed as a "non-permit" oversize load since it would be taller than 14 feet on a higher flatbed.
