No, I grew in Graham NC and stayed here. 4 years in the Navy fighting aircraft fires got me a job in Graham when I came home. Rode a fire truck for 30 years and now I'm retired but still have a part of the city business.
I still think that is a good way to work on your AS. Ladder or no ladder that is the best way i have seen'
