Hey team,
I just saw this old Airstream on the side of the road being used as a chicken coup! Full of crap and hay, but in remarkably good condition...with lots of original stuff still in tact. I made an offer and got it! But I can't tell the details on the model. It doesn't seem to be listed on the site, though perhaps I've been misguided in my research. The tag says: "Overlander" and the number is 260552D Also says Jackson Center Ohio. and the Airstream address of "...North Main St, Los Angeles Calif."
It seems that all other Overlanders were 26' though I'd say mine was a bit smaller...perhaps 26' with the tongue though. Hard to tell with all the chickens running around
. Is is possibly a 1952? It also says Land Yacht in cursive up above the tag. It has a curbside toilet. And the classic red letters: "1067". It is a double axle with bath in the back.
I can't seem to upload photos right now from my mac. Will try again...
Any interesting history that anyone could guide me towards?
Thanks!
