It looks like all the windows on the caravanners are the same size from what I can tell. My hunt continues. Thanks for looking.
I'm working on having some made.
Thanks again and your trailers looking great!

I guess I need to look at caravanners. With all that glass they must be real nice.
I had another good day working on Holly. I drilled out the last of the rivets and positioned the trailer for lifting. Much to my surprise when I leveled the trailer my door no longer latched. I have a few hours into the door and I should have known better. The trailer was not level when I set it. Nothing a nudge, twist and pull didnt correct.
I think Tim is coming down tomorrow. Ill start the hidden rivet hunt and see how far I get

Hey Brad
If you like lots of windows the Caravanners are very nice.
Good luck on your shell lift off!

Hi Mike That has to be the longest drip cap, over the window ,that I have ever seen. Im not sure I would know what to do with all thoes windows. Of the 9 original windows in Holly only one is where it started.

Well the body is still sitting on the frame. I need take down a couple of 4x4's to hang the body from.
The weather is supposed to take a turn for the better. That means back to work so progress will slow again. Oh well Im much closer to lifting the body now

ID:	178452So today I went to Holly for lift off!!!!!!!!!! I wasnt sure this day would come. Each time I get laid off I react in some unexpected way. When I got laid off from a purchasing job I took up exercise. This Time I popped the top.

Now I will start reading again.I have a lot to learn. Anyone with opinions , please share. Thank you in advance. Ill strip the old floor off, see what I have , do some funky voodoo stuff and see where it goes.

Enjoy your day

Congrats on your shell lift off, some day I'll be where you're at I hope!
Too bad about the lay off but you know the saying, one doors closes and another opens! Enjoy your trailer.

I finally made it down to the trailer today. It seems like when I'm not working I'm busier than when I am. I always think that I'll have soooo much spare time. Once again that's not the case

I got the last of the plywood off the frame today. I have more cleaning to do but the bulk of it is gone. I was surprised how little rotten wood there actually was. Some of the fiberglass insulation actually looked good. Most of the belly pan is intact so ill have good templates for the new one. I hope. Time to start looking at wheels, tires, axels, steps, tanks, etc, etc

Yesterday morning we left home , Minneapolis, and it was 28 degrees and sleeting. We drove as far as Macon Missouri and found 75 degrees and sunshine. I'm glad we have a trailer to use while I work on Holly. We spent last night at Long Branch Lake State Park . Beautiful park, and the lake isn't frozen. We hope winter will be gone when we get back. Today we head for Hermann Missouri about 90 miles away. The map and several other sources say its the Rhineland of America. Well , breakfast is ready, enjoy your day

Oh, you brat! You left us here??!!!!! Stay away at least 2 weeks according to the current weather forcast - the snow MIGHT be melted by then. Our Navy son and family are moving to NY state from Hawaii in early May. I've told them to expect snow when they get here.....
Enjoy your trip!

Thanks Kay

We had forgotten how nice it was to be away from winter. It sure is nice to travel. What a change for your son and his family. At least now you can take your trailer when you go to visit him, assuming winter ends

Yes, we're looking forward to visiting them more often, weather permitting. Hawaii is sooooo far away! I'm frustrated right now because I can't sanitize their water system in their trailer (we're babysitting) or wash it yet for them. Oh well, back to quilting for a little longer.

That door looks great! I can't wait to (someday) install my handle on my 57 Overlander. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact :-)

Started on the floor

For the past few weeks I have been getting down to the trailer and working on the floor. Im using 5/8" fir underlayment and coating both sides with epoxy.

After a few phone calls I was able to get new axels ordered from Colin Hyde. He was very generous with his time and shared a lot of great ideas with me .

Great to see your progress Brad! You will have her done in no time now, probably a little more comfortable working on her this time of year instead of when the snow is flying!
