I will never get there from here

You mean three more Bethel Baptist Churches? I will never get to the Grasslands from here again.

there's one right down the street where I grew up in Evergreen Park, Illinois too! It's an epidemic! (not that Bethel Baptist Churches are bad, though!)

Past the Church...on to Cabinets

Its cold here this week. I am working in the Red Barn on carpentry. All new to me, so it is going slow. I chose maple and am planning on a golden mahogany stain. So far it is like a huge puzzle...front area, left side, bath, and beds. I hope it all comes together.

Note on the cabinets....I am very space limited in the Bubbles. So I put doors and drawers whoever I can.

Are the planks on the floor spacers as if you have plans to put the cabinetry on top of flooring? I would put it on the subfloor and put the flooring around it. If you or the FO (future owner) ever want to change out the flooring it will be much easier. Also, take into consideration of how much actual flooring that you will ever see or walk on. Why put in more. More money. More weight.

more work

Your right Gene....I am going to do the entire floor because I like the finished look it gives. Admittedly....most of the floor will be covered up.....but come visit and look inside the cabinets and under the stove. OCD at its best.

Some new pics of what I am working on daily.

I saw similar sinks on a WWII submarine. My first thought was that folding SS sinks would look great in a vintage AS.

That is where this sink came from....WW2 Submarine. I never thought anyone would recognize it.

Actually it's a Pullman sink, or at least that's what they were called before they used them in subs. Very cool, I've wanted one for quite a while now , they are very hard to find and kind of expensive when available.. Congrats on the find!!

Robin ~ Just finished reading this entire thread. Like everyone says - really high quality work, and seemingly done so fast. Love what you're doing with this Bubble. That SS sink is a fabulous find & will be so distinctive. Well done.

Everything is looking great, Robin! I agree that your sink is really neat. It requires a lot of thought to use every available inch in a useful way. Looks like your thinking cap is on!
