information about Bubbles
Hey folks. I bought a 1957 Bubble. It's in good shape but needs some tlc (polishing, updating, etc.) Does anybody know where I can get information about Bubbles, i.e., how many were made? rare or common? history? Also, can anybody recommend a good overall restoration reference book?

Congrats on your new find. Was it the one in Arkansas by chance?
Here is what you need.

Thanks soldiermedic. It was not one from Arkansas. It was a CA made #490 that has been sitting in a driveway in my neighborhood for 10+ years. I asked about it and found out that the owner lived in Ore. I got her number, called her up and she was happy to sell it to someone who would love it and do a quality restoration.

I was just wondering if you knew anything about the bubble in Arkansas? My wife and I are considering buying it for a second trailer. I'm suspicious of why it has not sold yet. Any thoughts?

I have a buddy that was looking pretty seriously at it for a while here in Memphis. I think he tried to get the guy to come of the price and he wouldn't budge. Last I heard it was still for sale.

Congratulations on your find...err, STEAL!
Unfortunately, there weren't real Owner's Manuals back then...mostly little brochures or flyers about the appliances or special features. Some of these may be helpful ~
VAC Library
While they may not be exactly for your year/model the information was pretty much the same year-to-year.
One of the best information bases is right here on the forums. Post a specific question and most likely someone will have an answer or will have faced a similar situation.
Bubbles were only made 4 years or so...being one of the shorter lengths with MAJOR "cute-factor", they are pretty desirable and you don't see them come up very often.
Oh yeah...we LOVE pictures!

Just Put my Bubble on Ebay
Hey, all you bubble lovers, I just put my bubble up for sale on ebay. It's a sad day, but I've lost my free storage location and can't afford to rent another at the moment. In the event anybody out there is interested, or know someone who is…pass the word along. Thanks!

Sorry, the link didn't post. Just do a bubble search on ebay and you'll see it.

I did just that and saw your Bubble. It is beautiful and I'm sure someone will be very happy with it. Interesting icebox in the closet, have not seen that before.
