Howdy Bubblers. Looking for more info on these things.
I just purchased an Airstream Bubble and don't have much knowledge of them.
Mine is a California built whale tail. Numbered in the highish 300's.
I read they built 300-400 of them. Does that sound about right?
Do they all have the same lay-outs?
What options were available? I have a four burner stove with no oven that looks correct, but have not seen others this way.
I'm sure I will have a million more questions.

Does anyone know at what (California) production number the '57 models started and '56 ended? What is the latest '56 known, earliest '57?
Mine is titled as a '57, but has the features of a 1956 (13 panel front, whaletail rear). My production number is 370.

frank, do you actually have it in your posesion?????they tried to sell me the exact same one just now..a big scam ,wanted payments via google something and send money via western union etc....i am furious...by chance i found you ,the photos and put two and two together....i am now looking for another bubble....best,good luck M.

I sold it to a guy in the LA area a couple of months ago (I bought a '49 Clipper to play with instead). He was going to restore it, but I never heard what happened after that. My transporter did deliver it to an Airstream repair shop somewhere in the greater L.A. area.
So, it could be the same one.

Hey Guys,
I'm the guy who purchased from Frank in California. I actually have been restoring this Bubble since the day I purchase it, in fact we are on the final stretch! Can't wait to use it this summer. -Thanks Frank!
-So, yes, the scammer has used the photo's of my trailer and posted ads for it everywhere and in multiple states. Pretty common practice actually. Anyway, good luck hunting (and buyer beware of course).

just looked at photo..its overwhelmingly gorgeous...
you see,i sold my 1990,290 for 25,000,now realize i asked too little for it,does not make sense for me to spend more than that for a Bubble which i could renovate......M

Did you check out the 55' Bubble for Sale in California?
$25K - Mostly Original. Not many details on the ad regarding it though...
