Now that I'm home, got the trailer and tow vehicle unloaded, washed, and set I thought I'd throw a couple pics your way. We spent a few nights at crooked river ranch 15 min from smith rocks. It was a very quiet place-- sort of a mom and pop place in a little canyon. I'm Really liking central Oregon a lot. Still 80s in the day and 50 at night. Perfect. And heres a couple pics of the awning color up close. Since I made a special order for it I decided to go with a more tailored valance. Scallops are alright but I like the clean lines. Cheers friends. Ted.

Hey friends. What have you all been doing this fall? I finally finished a major (cant believe it cost as much as my airstream renovation) bathroom remodel in our 101 year old crafstman home. So with winter coming soon so I'll be thinking about doing a little work on the bubble when I get cabin fever. So I need to start researching some curtain ideas. I think I might want clips on the bottom too so they stay tidy to the window and don't take up extra space mainly near the princess stove. Do you all have any ideas on good links to material, design, etc? I'll do more research on the web here but there are no other bubble bungalows to get ideas from. You know how picky I am too right. Buy nice not twice friends. Cheers. Ted

Don't do this to your airstream! Here's a closeup pic of 1000lbs of real stone and river rock pebbles in our new bathroom in our 1910 house. The Space we have is small but with 9'8" ceilings it makes it seem roomier. I put in an ADA walk in shower and went down to the studs and replaced every aspect of plumbing, electrical, flooring, and fixtures. We're definitely liking it. Cheers.

Looks great! I really like the blue wall color against the tile and wood.

I was going through my phone pictures and came across a couple that are getting me excited about 2012 air-streaming. First is just a cool shot with my buddys vintage suburban, then a summer flower at home, and the last picture is a 1956 el ray airlight trailer my buddy just picked up yesterday for 800 bucks. Pretty cool that we both have 56 silver palaces. I wish I got mine for that price! The final thing that's got me excited about camping in the spring is that I picked up a silver 2007 toyota Tacoma double cab to replace my 1980 Toyota pickup. It should be a good tow vehicle for my 2800 lb bubble. I'm ready to camp. Bring on summer. Cheers.

Great job on the trailer. What did you finish the outside of the trailer with? It looks as close to the original finish as opposed the the highly polished finish you usually see on these old trailers.

Ive got Cabin fever! So I hooked up the new tow rig (2007 Toyota Tacoma sport with the long bed) to the bubble and pulled it out of the shed to work on a few things. It looks like the mild drop hitch will be the ticket for a level tow. Here's a couple pics from Dallas Oregon where I live. Is your tow vehicle allowed to be the same length as your trailer! Cheers friends. Ted

Ted, It looks like we share many of the same interests; Small vintage Airstreams, old house restorations (1912), and sliver Toyota Tacomas, among others I'm sure.
