1955 Bubble info

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm the proud owner of a 1955 Bubble,sn 211! The trailer is a one family owner, and I purchased it from the grandson.(out of state and not familiar with any changes that may have been made thru the years) Are there any other 55 Bubble owners who may communicate with me in reguards to the authenticity of the unit?(that is,assuming that their unit is"original" or they know of a source for "factory original". My unit is complete(other then the toilet),but I have questions about my appliances, etc.Hope to hear from another Bubble owner!.....walt...tulsa,ok

Welcome to the forums Walt!
If you haven't already found it, you should check out the Airstream model archives at vintageairstream.com. They may have pics of a 55 bubble on there.
Congratulations on your trailer. That's a great find!
Rich

Cool Great find!!!

Welcome to the 55 club! Cool little trailers. I agree, try to get some pictures. RJ's site only shows 3 55 bubbles and one of those is X251 that just sold for 55K. Again congratulations!!!

Now, now. Just because X251 sold for that amount doesn't mean they're all worth that. More pictures of Wally's X251 can be seen on my blog listed below although not much of the interior shown is original but a very cool little Bubble anyway.

Bubble-mania

Good Morning Walt - I'm your neighbor to the south in Texas - a big welcome to the Forum and since you're new I wanted to be sure you knew how to find the resources that you need. Go to VintageAirstream.com and click on the Model Archives -that is the site many have referred to - you'll find a wealth of information both about your new little baby and vintage units in general. You will also get a first-hand look at the restoration process by following the links on that site - once you've gotten your feet wet, come back to this site and use the Search function to learn more about the vast number of questions that you'll soon have! .... everyone here is very helpful and knowledgeable - so please speak up and ask when you need help. Until then, welcome aboard! paula

Wally's is one of a kind, but I guess we all have a connection to him through his products. I just wish he was here to see what we all are doing to emmulate his original ideas! Good luck Walt and hurry up and post some pictures!
