I wonder what the inside panels would look like stripped and polished? Maybe a retro CCD?

What a beauty. Congratulations to the new parents. I'm sure it can feel the love already in it's new home, and from the look of it, it has seen plenty of that all of it's life.

I love happy adoption stories.

Thanks for all the well wishes & congrats!

Wheel - not likely it's gonna make it to Perry - we'll be mid-restoration
Fyrzowt - Thanks! We think so too ~
Codybear - We love the 13 panels ~
Janet - Oh Dahlin', how fabulous of you to offer! I wouldn't want you to give those up! How 'bout you keep them!
Clancy_Boy - But, I AM the Aluminum Queen in our house!
Anholman - Looks can be deceiving - the pictures make it look good, trust me on this one! It's not nice!
Balgrn - Except for the decorating - it's all there & in good shape ~ a diamond in the rough!
85MH325 - LOVE the floor plan...it'll take some getting used to though
Overlander63 - the trick will be finding a stripper that removes the latex w/o damaging the wood or beatiful Zolatone that's underneath it all
sd90mac - Pictures? Now come on Marie, you know me better than that! She'll have her own website!!!
Tin Sista - are you the only one that caught the hints??? She's "Birdie" cause a lil' bird told me about her and coincidently (no lie) the original owner's name was Lily Bird. Weird huh?
Ken_J - Rob was already asking if I had your new number...I'm sure he will be in touch
Moose tags & Mistral Blue- She's a keeper! Thanks ~
Balgrn - like I said...that's scary!!! but at least you didn't inherit the wall paper & faux finishing to go with it!
Overlander63 - I already have big plans...but CCD style is not it. More retro-classic take advantage of all the beautiful (we hope) wood in there.
Safari57 - We are thrilled to be part of this happy adoption story!

Now, I gotta go out there & get to work!

Shari

Shari -- I love the layout in this, 'specially the kitchen area. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Well, we tore into some things today...but basically just got her parked in the backyard which meant getting Maxwell to storage and moving some wood piles around. Also cleaned the garage to get "project ready". That three extra feet sure looks odd back there! I'm sure we'll get used to it.

Running over to some friends for dinner...I'll post more pics later. Sure hope I can stay awake...I'm exhausted!
