Having had both, I would lean toward the twins. They are easier to get in and out of without disturbing your fellow camper in the middle of the night. Bedding is easier to come by, and you don't have to break down the bed every morning.

That's taking the "twins" thing a bit too far Brad!

Maxwell isn't too fond of Birdie...he had to go to a public storage place (boarding school) so we'd have some elbow room to work...

Twins work!

We have twins in our moho. Looked at the other configurations since we are snugglers (the pup too). But the twins are amazingly easier to make and get in and out of, we can get creative with the suggling and, as mentioned earlier, you don't wake your partner when getting up.

Tip: I had an extra queen down comforter that I carefully double sewed down the center and cut apart. Then I found 2 great micro suede duvets on sale. The twin duvets are quite a bit wider than the camper twins (I think they are more like bunk width). When I slide the 2 resized comforters into the duvets there is lots of tuck-in material that holds it nicely in place along the wall and it won't wind up on the floor in the morning.

Our '51 had a large bed across the back but my wife and I have very different sleep patterns when camping for some reason. It was an easy conversion to twins and we really enjoy that. I did set it up so that it could also be a large double if needed.

Poor Maxwell. Sent to detention and doesn't even know what he did.

Just think. Maxwell, all alone, sitting on a patch of muddy dirt with a bunch of strange trailers, not knowing who his friends are, what is going to happen to him, cold, wet, shivering...alone...

At least HE wil go out to play this season! Lil Bird will be backyard camping in for quite awhile...and she's getting poked, prodded & disemboweled!

That's really sad. It reminds me of the time I ran away from juvi hall when I was twelve. I couldn't go home -- they'd be looking for me there -- so I wandered around down by a river near home. I finally decided to build a lean-to and stayed there by myself for two nights. Two nights was pretty miserable even for a troubled kid.

I can't imagine Maxwell sitting in that lot day after day alone with rust starting to form just under his c-channel never knowing if anyone is ever really going to come back for him. It probably gets just as cold at night this time of year too...

Wow, how did I miss this thread earlier, what a find! And what a to-do list . . . yes, ditch the flowers. Congrats on your new little girl, Shari.

Poor Maxwell . . . .
