I am brand new to the Airforum. I will update my profile soon with my 'airstream' credentials. This is a great place to learn about the legend thanks to all of your contributions. I look forward to participating.
This thread about Wally's 1955 Buble caught my eye. I am curious; does anyone know if any airstreams that were owned by Wally and Stella are in private hands? Does PeeWee know? I recall seeing photos of a Gold airstream that appears to be privately owned.

The gold Airstream is parked at the Airstream factory in Jackson Center, OH... and I presume it's owned by Airstream Inc.
could someone please buy it for me.... please.
could someone please buy it and let me restore it for them. I plan to give huge discounts to any trailer known to be owned by Wally.
Frank, today is the first time I've heard you mention that you're planning on starting a resto business. That sounds so freaking cool.
Any chance you'd want to start off by doing a '58 Overlander at a huge discount? If I end up closing the deal, of course. I'll pay your bonuses in brisket.

The one the thread is about is in private hands and is for sale.
BTW I have been in touch with the owner of Wally's Airstream and he claims it has a magnesium frame.
Here is the quote.
"jim thanks for the interest. i dont want to appear as stuck up but im 60 years old and the computer doesntdo it too much for me so im going to pass on the chat but basically the trailer is in pretty good unrestored condition meanig someone hasnt screwed it upit has a magnesium (for real) and measures 15-3 from the center of the ball to the furtherest part of bumper.I stubled upon it while at a friends house to look at old fords and after about a year of thinking i purchased the trailer. thanks flathead john -associated with hot rod flathead ford v8. i left out the word frame next to magnesium, sorry about the typing skills."
okay, when I officially start my resto business anyone with a pre 1962 gets an extra discount. Anyone with an actual 1962 gets an even larger discount, for that is the pinnacle year. That is my first official decree for my soon to be announced company.
