Wiring question......

SO I opened the covered access in the front of the 58. I have a total of 4 small blue wires. I have traced 3 of em to running, left, and right lights. There is a red sheathed 2 conductor which goes to the brakes, and a 12ga 2 conductor that I believe goes to the 12VDC light on the ceiling.

My question is what that last small blue wire goes to. Anybody have a thought? There are no backup lights.

That would also be my guess. It has to get 12vdc from somewhere to illuminate the license bulb. Mine does and it’s the same configuration.

It is a separate wire which powers the brake lights.

In 1958 there were separate circuits for the right turn signal, running lights, left turn light, and a separate wire for the brake light filament.
