Wow This is Cool, my new one a '55 Flying cloud

Just got this Sunday it is a real gem and so strait and original it is scary.
Time machine!
What can you tell me about it?
Iinterior photos at http://photos.yahoo.com/richtrich Check them out and tell me what you think.

It even has a factory wooden holder underneath that holds the factory front window rock guard. I will try to add photos soon of that to the website link above.

It's a 'whaletail' or a 'Dutchmans Cap'. Only made in California, and i think only in 1955.
Congratulations on a great find!

Gotta agree with Jack on that one. First thing I thought of seeing the pictures was what it would look like polished!

Congratulations on a spectacular find!

Oh, wow...

Rich... I think you have the find of the first half of this century! That is EXACTLY what I wanted my '57 Overlander to be... unfortunately it turned into a frame-off and I didn't want to tackle it...

I WANT YOUR FLYING CLOUD!!!!! WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Congrats on a SUPERB find! I hope you restore that one to Concours condition. It's one of the very few around that are truly worthy of it!

Good luck with it... I'd love to see it in person some day!

Roger

Rivet Update

I have been busy so I have only been able to play with it alittle.
But I pluged it in and everything works even the original Marvel fridge and the factory 110v water heater, all lights fans etc... the timer on the stove, and even the outside door light works! A minute after i plugged it in the old tube radio started playing the oldies, it was really fun!
I looked around and found what looks like the original tv antenna and a rubber wheeled tongue wheel that was never installed, and some neat other stuff too that I havent seen before.
This is a great group of people we have here to say such nice things to me,.
Thank you for making a great time even better by kinda being here with me.
I will post some more pictures a soon as I can to share with you.
Richardt
